This is a slight variation on the pointsettia lampshade. It's nice to have the flexability to use a design in different ways. Learn to colour with watercolour pencils to create a unique handmade card you can send to a special friend of family member. We will also learn to make our own envelopes for this 4.5x6.5 card.

Candle Stick Pin Cushion

This is a fun project with a lot of techniques to learn. We will paint, stamp tissue, use gel medium, antique, add charms and embellishments. You end up with something very functional. The fabric top is wool with matching pins.

You can also hang jewelry from the coloured pins.

Project Classes

New for me this fall are 'Project Classes'. I have been teaching these at our local community centre now I will be holding these at my home studio.

Three Tuesdays of each month I will host these classes from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm, the projects will be posted well in advance so you can plan to come.

On three Thursdays of each month I will host a 'Finishing Class' which will give you an opportunity to finish projects you are working on. Cost for each 2 hour Thursday is $5.00.

There is room for 5 students in each class and cost will vary for each project.

I'm happy to tell you that these classes are also available to you as home parties. If you would like to plan a 'girls night' or have a group that enjoys getting together on a regular basis this might be for you.

September/October Project Class

'Pumpkin Crossing' wall hanging 'Snowmen Crossing' wall hanging

This fun project is painted with acrylic paint on a board measuring 12x12. Not a difficult assignment even if you're not familiar with painting. This also has a flip side which we will do in October...'Snowmen Crossing'.

Dates available for this class are Tuesday September 9th, 16th and 30th. Each class will hold 5 participants and will run 7:00pm to 9:00pm. If one week doesn't work for you possibly the next will. Handmade Jewelry

I've always found it difficult to find unique jewelry so I began to make my own. I prefer to create bracelets, necklaces & earings using sterling silver rings and wire but I do take special orders If I come across an unusual stone then in it goes. Prices vary for each peice.

Sunflowers are so cheerful. This is a coloured pencil drawing done on canvas paper.

The prints are also on canvas paper. The size is 13"x13" Framed in a 20"x20" pine with large white mat. $130

It's been a busy fall & Christmas but I've been working hard to create some new signs, scarves etc. for the new year.

It's equally important to look good when you feel good.

This shawl is made of Mohair & Wool so it's wonderful to wrap up in or curl up with. It can be used as a lap wrap or a shoulder wrap. It's light weight so it doesn't get heavy while wearing but it will keep you warm.

This is the 12th annual 'Fibrefest' featuring demonstrations and displays of various fibre arts such as: Weaving, Spinning, Smocking, Lacemaking, Quilting, Stitchery, Knitting, Rug Hooking, Penny Rugs and more.

Knit Scarves

I love beautiful wool. My scarves are hand knit by me with a variety of wool blends such as nylon/alpaca/mohair in many different colours. As I knit I think of the person who will wear my scarf & how warm it will make them feel. I make sure the warmth is knit right in.
